I’ve finally jumped on the Joomla! bandwagon. A couple of sites I work on in my free time are moving to Joomla as its content management system (CMS). I’ve worked with a few content management systems in the past and phpNuke was the first that impressed me…. Joomla is now the most impressive CMS in my book. With all of the extensions available, you can turn a Joomla powered site into any kind of site you want!

The first site that I worked with was for a Wine Club my wife and I are involved in… they were getting ready to buy a domain name and start a website and they just happened to be looking for someone to create it. I knew this site was my chance to really see what Joomla had to offer. Now the other site I’m working with is going through some growing pains on finding a graphics artist to design a custom template for Joomla, but once that is complete, the power of Joomla will really show.

I’ve already installed a ton of extensions on the Wine Club’s site and the ease of installation and ability to configure are simply incredible! I can’t wait to see what the Joomla 1.5 re-write has to offer!
